Veneta Gerganova Main Project Coordinator   Veneta is a postdoc in the Department of Fundamental Microbiology at UNIL She is currently the president of the Association for Postdocs in Natural Sciences and is the the main coordinator and creator of [Figure 1.A.]. She is the hub of all vital aspects of the project between the team, sponsors, supporters, jury, and audience. She will participate in the curator team for the event. Veneta has previously directed and choreographed five full length dance and visual performances.

Cassandre Kinnaer P.R. and Social Media coordinator   Cassandre is a Ph.D. fellow at the Department of Fundamental Microbiology at UNIL. She is a member of the Association for Doctoral Students and Postdocs at UNIL, which is one of the main supporters of the event. Her help in designing and guiding our public presence has been invaluable to the team. She is also a photographer and her know-how in this field is essential for the technical challenges of the exhibition assembly and image presentation. Cassandre`s work will be featured in this year`s event as a part of a creative installation.

Cassandre is a Ph.D. fellow at the Department of Fundamental Microbiology at UNIL. She is a member of the Association for Doctoral Students and Postdocs at UNIL, which is one of the main supporters of the event. Her help in designing and guiding our public presence has been invaluable to the team. She is also a photographer and her know-how in this field is essential for the technical challenges of the exhibition assembly and image presentation. Cassandre`s work will be featured in this year`s event as a part of a creative installation.

Thaïs Reichler Fundraising Coordinator   Thaïs is a Lausanne-based sketch artist, who previoursly worked as a research assistant at Université de Lausanne after completing her Masters in Biology. She joined [Figure 1.A.]`s team during its first edition and has taken on a challenging role of a fundraising coordinator. Thaïs`s artistic competence has been a big part of the project and this year her work will be featured in the exhibition as a part of an installation.

Laura Merlini Main Program Administrator   Laura is a postdoc in the Department of Fundamental Microbiology at UNIL. She joined [Figure 1.A.]’s team in January 2018. Beyond her scientific career Laura has a great passion for sports and the mountains. It is perhaps then not surprising that in her free time she enjoys her time as a professional ski instructor in the Italian Alps. Her tasks within Figure 1.A. are focused on streamlining and project coordination between the members, so her precision of work and clarity of ideas is exactly what the new and improved organization of the 2018 [Figure 1.A.] event needs.

Mattia Tomasoni Operations coordinator   Mattia is a PhD student at Université de Lausanne, working in the area of Computational Biology. He is the latest addition to the [Figure 1.A.] team and has been helping with the creative process behind the competition and the exhibition itself. Mattia has been part of a theater company (based in his Italian village of origin) for over a decade and has contributed to a few interactive documentary projects as a Web Programmer. He is also an untalented musician –clarinet, voice and, in recent years, ukulele.
